The 93rd edition of Ronde van Vlaanderen is gone and belgium's Stijn Devolder won this race for the second time.
The scenario from 2008 is repeating, Stijn attacked in the last 20 KM and passed Muur-Kapelmuur climb successfully.
Quick Step team deserved the win, it was easy to notice their pro skills - in attitude and communication (motivation).

It happens again! Tom Bonnen won for 3-rd time the classic queen 'Hell of the North'.
In the last km there was a lot of crashes in the peloton, even the winner: Bonnen couldn't stay straight to line.
All in all, this year Paris-Roubaix was a success for the cycling fans and all enthusiasts.

Tomorrow, Saturday 21th March 2009, the first 'fully featured' classic of the new season it's meant to soothe our souls.

The route measures 294 km and can be considered the longest classic road race.

Let's have a look at the last winners: Erik Zabel, Mario Cipollini, Paolo Bettini, Oscar Freire, Alessandro Petacchi, Filippo Pozzato ... it's easy to see that the race is dedicated to veritable sprinters, except Paolo Bettini and the last one Fabian Cancellara, riders prepeared for classics and time-trials, not really sprinters.

Well, it was a good start for this season. Paris-Nice was running for 8 days, when riders were exhausted. It's happening every start of a new season.

Alberto Contador, the favourite cyclist to win Paris-Nice and Tour de France this year, took a bad start and showed all of as that he's human being too. As Lance said, Contador doesn't prove a comfortable

experience, he has to learn something from this fail. He's not mature, despite of his huge cyclist qualities.
This year winner Luis Leon Sanchez seems to became a favourite for TDF in two or more years. He has a great potential, skills and his parcours looks like Indurain's, first win in Paris-Nice.

Finally, I can say: this year season start (european part) left a lemon taste in my mouth - I'm a little bit disappointed, won't say why, just wait for the next race to come.
This season will be the greatest for 4 years and let me show you why:
